Comptroller of the Constitutional Court

The recommendations of the Constitutional Court Comptroller will be public and transparent.

Unless the matter involves offenses against public integrity, a period prescribed by law will be provided for correcting the identified deficiencies.

If the deficiencies have not been corrected by the end of that period, further consideration of the matter will be transferred to a public review committee whose members will be appointed by the Sanhedrin.

The committee will have authority to vote on adopting the Comptroller’s recommendations. The subsequent decision on whether to convert those recommendations into action will be submitted to a referendum, and the people will determine what is implemented in practice.

Comptroller of the Sanhedrin

The Comptroller of the Sanhedrin will be appointed by the Comptroller of the Constitutional Court, and the appointment will require approval by referendum.

The Comptroller’s role is to examine the Sanhedrin’s ongoing functioning as an institution in relation to its defined duties and the performance of its members.
